Frequently asked

Parent and student questions.

Short, direct answers to what families ask most about FORGE preparation, eligibility, time commitment, and outcomes. For anything not covered here, contact us.

Is there a cost to my family?

No. FORGE is free for accepted students. The program is funded by individual donors and corporate sponsors.

What if my student is already in JROTC?

FORGE students can also participate in JROTC but it’s not required. FORGE can supplement many various programs.

What does “leadership-led” actually mean?

Every FORGE coach is personally vetted and led by the founders — professionals who have walked this path.

How much time does the program require each month?

The baseline is at least two coaching sessions per month, with more as required depending on the student. Students also complete their own preparation work between sessions — academics, fitness, leadership commitments — and coaches remain available to guide students between sessions as needed.

Are seniors eligible?

Seniors are considered case by case. FORGE is designed as a three-year arc, but FORGE leadership will speak with senior families when the fit is right.

Where does FORGE meet?

FORGE is based in Lawton, Oklahoma. All coaching sessions are virtual, and students from any state can participate.

Can a student who does not live in Oklahoma participate in FORGE?

Yes. FORGE is a nationwide virtual program. Because all coaching sessions are virtual, students from any state can participate.
